It is important to first understand that senescent cells are cells that should have undergone the normal process of cellular death and recycling but did not. They exist in a half-alive zombie state. They use energy but do not divide or contribute to the normal function of the body. In fact, they secrete compounds that are actually harmful to the body, that disrupt the normal cellular function, break down proteins, create inflammation, and do damage at a molecular level. All of this disrupts the normal function of the body, contributes to aging, and interferes with stem cellsand other regenerative medicine treatments.
That is why it is so important to reduce the zombie cell burden in any anti-aging and regenerative medicine treatment. However, eliminating the zombie cells has to be done properly. Otherwise, the treatment will actually accelerate aging. I use the safest, most up-to-date, and effective methods to reduce the senescent zombie cell burden in my patients.
